I want to give you a heads-up on a new series of posts:

Video Marketing With No Regrets

Learn To Love Creating Video
And Reach A Larger Audience At The Same Time!

There are 6 articles here on the blog, and when you get the course (coming soon!) there's total of 12 video marketing lessons, including daily Success Action Steps, Course Checklist & Worksheet, extra PDF resources and 12-month Video Content Calendar.

In them I list ways in which you can create video without it having to be a "big production" so you can easily incorporate it in your business content strategy.

I have to admit that I'm not a great fan of making talking-head videos...  I find that it always takes longer than expected and being on camera is a chore.  And I'm pretty sure that I'm not the only online business owner who feels that way.

However, we can't deny that video can be, pound for pound, more effective than other marketing methods. And not only for marketing, but for tutorials, demos, and other types of instruction as well.

Good news is that video doesn't always have to be of the talking-head type, and it doesn't have to take forever to create. That said, this new series of blog posts was created to help you become fluent in creating videos for your business and for you to also enjoy the process.

Content Marketing's 800 lb Gorilla

Video is a really important piece of  any content marketing strategy.

It’s more engaging than text, it’s shared more, a proper call-to-action can be more persuasive and it's more effective overall than other types of content in getting a response.

You can implement all the tips or just some of them. You’ll get out of it what you put in.

Let’s look at some reasons you should consider adding video content to your content marketing strategy.

Inexpensive to Produce

With smartphones, tablets, and even laptops being a lot lower in price than what video cameras used to be, you can produce, edit, and publish videos using the tech you have now with a few low-cost add-ons like sound-buffering external mics and inexpensive lighting options and filters.

High Share Potential

According to some studies, people are ten times more likely to share a video about a topic than a written blog post. This means that adding video to even your blog posts can enhance sharing opportunities.

More Engagement

Another thing that's interesting about video is that your audience is more likely to comment and like your videos than a written blog post.

Likely To Make More Sales

Demonstrate and show products more easily with video including why people need it, how to use it, share interviews of success stories, and how to buy it.

Build Trust

When you can show your expertise using video, especially if you’re on camera even for a short part of the video, people will feel as if they know you. They'll see you as competent and trust that you can deliver.

Google Loves Video

Google owns YouTube, so it goes without saying that videos get much love from it. You'll get more views for your content and more hits on your website as well if you use the right SEO methods.

Easier to Explain Difficult Concepts

Like the old saying goes "A picture's worth a thousand words". Using video to demonstrate anything that’s hard to explain with words only help tremendously. That's why most things physical like cooking, construction, art, makeup and so on work so well on video.  But, if you’re creative, you can make any type of demo work on video.

Repurpose Your Content

If you already have posts, ebooks, tutorials or articles in text format that are popular, you already have an idea of what type of videos to make. Repurposing your old content into video is an excellent way to get started.

Using video in your content marketing increases your reach because different segments of your audience, even when they’re part of the same demographic, learn and retain information differently.

Some like print, some like audio, and some like video, so you can't count on a single method to engage the entire group.
