Managing Your Energy Is A Must

Quarterly Planning Strategies for Productivity on Autopilot – Managing Your Energy Is A Must!

Effectively managing our energy Is essential for digital solopreneurs.

Fatigue leads to poor choices, potential injuries, and more problems that will only waste your time and dissipate your focus.

For maximum productivity, you need persistent consistency which requires you to sustain your energy.

Burnout will destroy all the work you put in along the way.

To better manage your energy and ensure that you're ready to meet each day with enthusiasm, habits you build need to work for you, not against you.

Here are five ways to help you tweak your daily course of action to be more productive with less strain:

Schedule Breaks Throughout The Day

Taking a break doesn't mean that you're acting like a unionized employee.

It's just a smart technique to recharge which ensures that you can keep going and get done what you need to get done in a day.

I know I've mentioned this before, I use Kanbanflow.com to make sure to take hourly breaks. (I try to stick to it when I get a break reminder, but sometimes when I'm on a roll...)

Stop Being Busy All The time

Believe it or not, the most productive people have more free time.

They're not always busy because they understand that it’s more about the quality of their work and how it impacts their ultimate goal that leads to productivity.

Don't go on a guilt trip because you feel you're not putting in enough hours. It's not the quantity of hours that matters, it's the result that you get that counts.

Busyness drains your energy and prevents you from performing at your best, and makes you forget your life goals as you work to get through each day.

When you give yourself a more realistic schedule and eliminate or delegate the minutiae, you can better use your energy to achieve goals more efficiently with better focus and precision.

Adopt Proper Eating, Exercise and Sleep Habits

I know you know this but it’s crucial, and one of the most valuable tips for improving stamina throughout the day.

Without proper diet, exercise and adequate sleep, it doesn’t matter how many other positive habits or practices you adopt.

Training and eating like a professional athlete isn’t required for success here. You need to find the proper balance that works for you and your schedule.

And do it regularly.

And you can't skip on sleep. This makes the other two habits work optimally.

Insufficient sleep means that your body doesn't recover as well from exercise, nor can it perform as well when you do work out.

It also means that your body won't utilize the food you eat as well as it could to revitalize your body and produce energy as when you have consistent good sleep.

Stop Trying to Please Everyone

Unfortunately, you won’t, can’t, and shouldn’t try to please everyone.

If you do have this unrealistic expectation, it will only overwhelm you and lead to poor communication and engagement with your audience.

In everything you do for your business, all focus should be on doing business with your target buyer -- only.

It may be tempting to accept clients into your business who really aren't a match. Don't do it, it's a headache you don't need.

Don’t Dwell on What You Can’t Control

Stop negativity in its tracks and only focus on the things you can control. It’s a draining and exhausting never-ending rabbit hole to hell otherwise.

External events, the current political environment and economy are all things that you can't change.

Best to focus on quality of your products & services as well as the methods and channels you use to sell them.

As you can see, with a bit of change of perspective and adopting positive habits, you can manage your energy efficiently.

Maintaining a steady energy level is essential to consistently use it to focus on what truly matters to you in your life and business.
