There are no shortcuts, yet people are constantly looking for a hack, a trick, a loophole.

Using a multitude of tags to make your videos rank higher is a waste of time. That’s if you’re using a bunch of unrelated ones to try to rank for a popular video or channel. Better to spend your energy providing what viewers want instead of trying to guess what web crawlers want.

The key is simple.

Create a video that’s compelling to HUMANS: good content aimed at your target audience, appropriate search terms, a good title, description and thumbnail image AND appropriate tags.
